XV-1250A Vertical Machining Center from YCI Provides Maximum Stability for High-Speed Cutting

YCI, Inc., a leading manufacturer of CNC machine tools, has introduced its XV-1250A vertical machining center. The machine provides maximum productivity, stability and accuracy for a wide variety of job shop applications. All three axes have a rapid feed rate of 945 ipm. The servomotors are directly coupled to the ballscrews to virtually eliminate backlash effect. Moreover, the state-of-the-art HRV Servo Drive Technology enables superb precision in axial interpolation. The X-axis is supported by three sliding blocks per guideway to secure table flatness and rigidity. The Y-axis is supported by four slide ways to provide maximum stability and cutting accuracy and can hold a 2,200 lb. maximum load at 945 ipm. For high-speed movement, the XV-1250A's saddle is enforced with a dual-deck ribbed casting. The XV-1250A comes equipped with the new FANUC MXP100i control, FANUC AC digital servo motor and absolute encoder. The new control has a wide range of features that make it ideal for a job shop environment, including a 8.4" color LCD monitor, high-speed rigid tapping, helical interpolation, 640 meters memory, extra work & tool offsets, custom macro B, tool path graphics and PCMCIA slot for easy upgrade. Productivity is also enhanced by the XV-1250A's 24-tool swing-arm ATC system, which changes from tool to tool in 2.5 seconds. |
The machine's powerful 20 HP, 8000 rpm spindle is powered by FANUC AC digital spindle drives. The unique IDD (Isolated Direct Drive) spindle design improves spindle life and accuracy while lowering vibration, noise and temperature. A standard programmable coolant nozzle improves cutting efficiency and reduces setup time. Additional features include a high-speed contouring function (AICC), an RS232C interface, full alphanumeric keyboard, a spindle air curtain, automatic central lubrication system, oil skimmer, and full chip and coolant guards. Table size is 53.1" x 20.4". Table positioning has an accuracy of ±0.00016" and repeatability of ±0.00008". Power requirements are 220 V, 3 phase, 60 Hz, while power consumption is 22 kVA. Machine weight is 14,718 lbs.
