YCM’s new WV108A with Extended Y-Axis Travel + Ultra Wide Y-Axis mount

Combining extended 30” Y-axis travel and ultra wide 35.4” Y-axis mounting span to improve rigidity, the YCM WV-108A is most ideal for machining oversized workpieces and using one machine for both roughing and finishing which are much desired for die mold makers. Adding low friction, high loading roller bearings linear guides on all three axes, the machine can satisfy both fast and massive machining requirements.

The powerful high speed 12,000 RPM (15,000 RPM optional) IDD (Isolated Direct Drive) spindle w/spindle chiller effectively isolates and dissipates heat from long running time through means of ceramic bearings and YCM patented air-cooling system to minimize thermal related inaccuracy in high precision machining. These ceramic bearings are seated with angular contact for good axial and radial rigidity. |
The WV-108A is equipped with YCM’s own MXP-200i control by Fanuc which has many built-in features such as i-Operation (software enhancement exclusively from YCM), AI NANO contouring w/ JERK function, high-speed rigid tapping & helical interpolation, custom macro B, 3-D tool path graphics, intelligent tool data management, and a high-resolution 10.4” color LCD monitor w/ dynamic graphic display.
