IMTS 2002 High Speed Machines Preview

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (July 15, 2002) —

In continuing pursuit of Excellency in machining technology, YCI Precision Machines will introduce new series of high speed, high precision machining centers and turning centers at the upcoming IMTS 2002 at Chicago, IL on September 4-11. These machines are completely new designed by utilizing the latest and greatest technology. YCI will demonstrate how its customers can make the best of these newest state-of-the-art technologies to boost up their productivity. Following are just some of the newest products:

 

 

The new FP-100A is a high speed, Nano precision mold and die machining center. This new machining center incorporates high powered dual-wound 30hp, 20000 rpm spindle motor, a new FANUC 18i-model B CNC control with 64-bit RISC processor, Nano-HPCC 3D-contouring function, Ethernet capability and the newest HRV Servo technology. The rigid bridge style FP-100A offers roomy 40"x28"x20" working envelope with 787 inch per minute cutting feed. Moreover, the Heidenhain optical scales with 0.1_m high-resolution modular (HRM) come with the machine as a standard package that makes the FP-100A one the best performance mold making machine in the market.

  

 

 

  The new MV-106A is a highly versatile vertical machining center. Its massive construction offers hardened and ground box ways on all three axes that suits for heavy cutting. The roomy 40"x23.6"x23.6" work envelope and 20hp, 8000rpm high-torque spindle gives the flexibility of machining wide range of product sizes and material. Other features like fast 24-tool dual-arm ATC, optional two-speed transmission, absolute positioning servo drives, High Response Vector drive technology, MXP-100i CNC control by FANUC is fully loaded with high performance functions.

 

 

The new RV-105A is a high speed, Nano precision mold and die machining center with the Ram Style headstock design. This unique headstock design promotes smooth and high-speed Z-axis motion at 3D contouring for superior surface finish and accuracy. The RV-105A is powered by a 20000rpm, 30hp motorized spindle and three powerful HRV servo drives with absolute positioning technology. The FANUC 18i Model B CNC control comes with Nano HPCC high-speed cutting function, 64-bit RISC processor and a Data Server with Ethernet capability. Packaged by Heidenhain optical scales with 0.1_m high resolution modular (HRM), the new RV-105A is the best value mold-making machine in its league. Other Features like fast 24 tool dual-arm ATC, roomy 40"x20"x20" work envelope, 1575 imp rapid traverse and 787 cutting feed rate.

  

 

 

  The new TCV-41A/APC is built for high production applications. The traveling column design allows high-speed 1890 ipm rapid traverse on all three axes. Its fast Automatic Pallet Changer switches pallets in only 4 seconds that substantially reduces the non-machining time. Equipped with Eco-Technology ballscrew and linear guide system, the TCV-41A/APC machine is oil-lube free and therefore keeps the working environment clean and even lower the maintenance cost of the machine. With CAT-40/30 tools ATC, roomy 16"x12.5"x11.8" work envelope and a high torque 15hp/10000rpm spindle, the TCV-41A meets most cutting requirements of high production shops.
