FP100A Vertical Bridge Machining Center
SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. - (Feb. 05, 2001) —
YCI SUPERMAX, a leading manufacturer of CNC and conventional machine tools, has introduced its new FP100A bridge-style machining center for the mold and die market. The FP100A's high speed and high horsepower spindle design makes it ideal for rough cutting and fine finish cutting. The FP100A's specially designed bridge-structure ensures perfect load distribution and pinpoint accuracy. A 30 HP Cytec(r) AC digital integral spindle motor powers the spindle to speeds ranging from 60 RPM to 20,000 RPM to meet the fast turn-around required by today's mold and die shops. The machine offers a vast array of additional productivity features, including: an Oilmatic oil/air mist spindle bearing lubrication system for consistent precision during extended machining processes; swivel control panel for ease of operation, and a 20-tool carousel-type ATC system. The ATC's large tool capacity allows permanent-set tooling to be stored in the magazine, minimizing tool setup time for efficient and versatile operation.

The FP100A's X-Y travel of 40" x 28" provides a generous working envelope to meet a variety of work piece requirements. The system also boasts a special high-speed software package comprised of a 64 bit RISC processor, state-of-the-art Fanuc High Precision Contour Control (HPCC) software with full alphanumeric keyboard, high-speed rigid tapping, data server, network capable through Ethernet connection, and NURBS interpolation.
