YCM Double Column Vertical Machining Center

YCM is introducing a new smaller double column vertical machining center. The DCV-2012B unique design is capable of handling oversized, heavy work pieces at an accuracy that is required for aerospace and die mold applications.

The bridge VMC offers 78.7” x 47” x 30” in travels for X, Y, Z-Axis respectively. The standard spindle speed is 10000 rpm with CT-50 taper, powered by 30 HP High / Low Shifting IDD Spindle Motor for high torque output ideal for die mold applications. The IDD spindle provided low vibration at high speed cutting which helps to increased tool life; while the oil-air mist lubrication system prolongs the life of the spindle at extended running time. |
The DCV-2012B is equipped with oversized roller type guide ways on X and Y-axis to provide optimal machining accuracy and hardened & grounded box ways on Z-axis for increased machining rigidity. The Y-Axis consists of 2 roller guide ways one is located on the face of the bridge and the other on the top of the bridge which uniquely enhances the rigidity / accuracy during harder material cutting. In addition, the headstock is supported by dual pneumatic counter weight system that offers smooth Z-axis movements required for 3-D contouring. In another word, the complete structure system has gone through FEM analysis for all machining directions. To assure operating efficiency, the DCV-2012B is equipped with 32T swing-arm type ATC system for quick tool change and dual spiral type chip conveyor system to automatically discharge the metal chips to centralized area.
